Making Memories
I don’t know about you... but so many of my favourite childhood memories are the simple ones.
Summers up north with my family. My cousins and I would collect dried seaweed from the beach, pile it high, then spend the evening around a bonfire roasting marshmallows and staying out long after dark.
Years later, after studying mechanical engineering, I came across something I'd never seen before... a smokeless fire pit.
I was fascinated. It solved the age-old problem of smoke following you around the fire, and the engineering behind something so simple just made sense.
I wanted one, but there was almost nothing like it available in New Zealand.
After testing designs and prototypes. We needed a name, and WIZARD was decided almost instantly.
Watching the smoke disappear felt a lot like magic.
Today, WIZARD is becoming much more than a fire pit company. We've expanded from NZ, to AU and the UK.
We're building outdoor products that are thoughtfully designed, work brilliantly and make spending time outside better.
People pull their chairs closer. Drinks get poured. Stories get longer. And somehow, there’s always time for one more log.
You see, the name WIZARD originally came to me because it felt a lot like magic watching the smoke disappear.
It really does look like magic. But I've also come to realise that
The real magic has always been the people around it and the memories you make. So cheers to:
