Generally smokeless once up to temp; but not sootless. Oddly more soot on the walls that with an open fire pit. Gives off good heat, but burns fuel quickly. It’s silver; but colour tarnishing quickly. To be expected, but wonder if the change would be less noticeable with a a different base colour. The ash tray allows embers to fall to the lower tray, so still learning how to get the right sustained ember/flame mix on the top tray for a bbq. The bbq tray doesn’t have a lip and food falls-off easily, partially because the heat is epic and one’s hands want to be away from the grill, so fumble the food utensils. Get some extra heat gloves to help. The food fat also falls across the frame (discolouring); understandable, but neither like most bbqs nor cooking on open pits. The heat deflector does deflect, but the heat rises rapidly from the edge, so while the heat is deflected, it’s only temporary - better than not, but not as good as hoped. Don’t get me wrong; we’ve had several super family evenings together, good casual kebabs and burgers, good laughs and conviviality. Still learning how to make it optimal. And very happy continuing to learn, inc when we take away for hols soon.
Love it. Its small and compact. Bought for a birthday gift and hubby loved it to. Its the perfect size to have on the outdoor table or take to the beach or camping. Ive even bought a jug so we can use it for making a cuppa when camping.

I’m on the hunt for a fire pit that’s both safe for the environment and easy to use. That’s why I started with a small one—it was great, but I had a bit of trouble with smoke. It seemed to clear up when the wood was damp and had time to dry out. I will definitely buy a regular or Jimbo one, but will use it on an outdoor table for marshmallows!
Hard to believe that it will be smoke free but it actually is. The first 5 mins while the fires getting going there was a bit of smoke and then absolutely nothing after that. Very happy and impressed! My parents are switching now they’ve seen ours!
Only fired it up once so far but writing the review now as getting sick of the review reminder emails. Burnt very dry DFir. Was still a little bit of smoke. Not much at all but burning in a small backyard close to the neighbors I was hoping that I'd get less smoke then I did. I know I'm a fussy bugger though. After a few hours it also felt a bit warm underneath so I raised it up on bricks to avoid damaging my new lawn. Would be nice if the legs were a bit longer to avoid the bricks. Still happy with how it went and looking forward to lighting it again.

Loving on Wizard fire Pit. Enough heat to sit outside at night with a glass of wine and hot soup for dinner. Finish off with toasted marshmallows.
Love this fire. No damage to anything under it while it’s burning. No smoke and the heat from it is amazing.
Love my Mini Wizard, it’s so portable and sets up in a flash for firey good times shared or to cook up a feast for two al fresco. Smoke free warmth can’t be beat! Recommend the wrap around grill support for cooking, so simple to use ✨
I LOVE my Mini, Todd advised me on this size as I live in a small campervan and travel. Im so glad I took his advice, sometimes when youre off grid it's nice to make a fire to cook, feel comfy and warm. With my Mini I can do all this, don't leave a "footprint" when i leave an area, and its a clean burn, meaning no smoke, no embers so no worries about starting bush fires.
I also recently bought a bag of oak chips from Wizard, they're awesome! Helps tremendously on those wet days, thank you Todd and the crew at Wizard Fire Pits, im already recommending your products to everyone i meet.
