I bought the mini mainly for how portable it is and taking it to the river and beach to either keep warm or cook food and it does that amazingly well! Very very happy with my mini and will be looking at getting the medium for the garden at home.

Put two cups of pellets init with a firelighter and it burnt perfectly for a hour, ideal for toasting the marshmallows and it's going to perfect for cooking over, tried wood init but the pellets seemed best and if ur more lookn for something to keep u warm get a bigger model. This is perfect for cooking
We've had fire pits before, and we work them to the ground. They're open in all weather and become annoying when it rains. Our new Jumbo Wizard Fire Pit is awesome! It's so easy to get a fire started and it burns way hotter than our previous one despite using the same wood. I'm not technical, but I'd guess it's to do with the design for air flow. We haven't cooked on it yet due to a disagreement with the kids over what to cook first, but we have toasted marshmallows, and the lack of smoke was awesome in this scenario and just in general health and wellbeing. The lid and cover keeps it protected from the elements when not in use which is great and means it's always ready to go and not full of rain water. Easy to remove ash plate is a god send too. I would highly recommend this product!
Purchased the mini Wizard for camping, absolutely love it, small and compact with a bag, easy to clean out, only needs small sticks and twigs and no smoke was the win! Highly recommend!
We got this to take camping and to test out before looking to buy a larger one for the deck. After our first test I was convinced we will definitely be looking to purchase a larger one in the future.
Our wee wizard arrived with its accessories and we set him up easily and had our first experience. It was magical. He’s already been on a trip to Wanaka in his wee sleeping bag and was right at home there too. Really happy campers as the saying goes!
We absolutely love our fire pit and have used it a couple of times already and what a superb colour it glows. We were in two minds which size to get, but thrilled we chose the BIG one !!
Now we are saving to get a cover and a bag for it.

The Wizard has totally lived up to my expectations. I have been around other fire pits , but preferred to support a NZ product. I considered a couple of other options, but the Wizard was more price competitive, technically very similar and the performance (heat) with the optional deflector, excellent.

This is perfect on my needs as solo camper
Bought this for my partner who loves to cook outdoors with fire. He’s a very happy man! The design & construction are great quality, it’s stable & produces more than enough heat for him to cook on. He’s particularly impressed with how the feet stay cool even when it’s roaring with flames, that the attachment grill is shaped so you can easily put in more wood while cooking & it’s a good size to use anywhere. My only complaint is he won’t stop going on about it. It’s been a solid 90 minutes today alone hearing how great this is over & over & over again so yeah think about how much of that you can tolerate before giving this as a gift.
Well, this thing has been bloody fantastic, So glad I found your product, the first night my son cooked some bangers and then roasted marshmallows, Then over the weekend, he cooked a 4 course breakfast, It's a stunning design ,easy to clean and pack away, great to take to the Bach or River for a weekend, bring on the summer camping trips. Two issues with this wonderful product (mini wiz) needing to cut the wood much shorter than normal but once I've got the chainsaw out this will be remedied.
I had to drill 4 holes in the inner wall so that there is some airflow when ash covers the entire bottom, cutting off an up air supply.
It now works perfectly through a much greater range of burn rates
We love our mini fire pit! We’ve had it a couple of weeks and already used it 3 times when friends have come over. In the past we’ve had fire pits that get left outside and lost interest when they’ve gotten too rusty - this is perfect to pop in the bag and put away after each use. So far we’ve just used kindling, will play around with what’s best to use to make it burn a little longer. Yet to use the grill
